NEWPORT BEACH, CA – January 9, 2014 – This spring, The Resort at Pelican Hill® introduces a variety of new epicurean experiences, including the Art of Mixology, Wine and Cheese Pairings and Children’s Afternoon Tea Story Time. Guests and locals will enjoy seasonal dining experiences for Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and sports viewing, with special menus created by talented Resort chefs at Newport Beach’s only Five-Star Resort.

The Art of Mixology
Fridays, April 11, May 16 & June 20 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Learn the art of mixology from a guest mixologist, who will reveal the secrets to creating crowd-pleasing cocktails in the Great Room. Savor a la carte small bites, paired with each cocktail.

Wine and Cheese Pairings
Saturdays, April 12, May 17 & June 21 from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Join our sommelier in the Great Room for a sampling of wines and cheeses from all around the world.

Afternoon Tea & Children’s Story Time
Saturdays, April 26, May 24 & June 28 from 2 – 3:30 p.m.
Families are invited to attend Afternoon Tea in the Great Room, with special performances of classic children‟s story books.

Coffee and Pastry Pairing Talks
Sundays, April 6, May 18 & June 22 at 2 p.m.

Amidst Pacific Ocean panoramas, the little ones delight in an Easter egg hunt, Easter Bunny visits, face painting and balloon shaping on the picturesque Rotunda Lawn. In Mar Vista‟s grand ballroom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Executive Chef Jean-Pierre Dubray presents traditional brunch favorites, with California and Tuscan accents.

Chef Derek creates a special selection of Easter a la carte dishes, available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as Easter dinner specials and a featured lounge menu available from 3 to 10 p.m.

Chef Micah creates an extraordinary breakfast buffet, available from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and special a la carte Easter dinner specials.

At the Caffè, Pastry Chef Jeff presents traditional and modern Easter treats. Pelican Grill’s golf-inspired Masters Menu includes specials such as Fairway Fried Chicken Birdie, Shrimp ‘n’ Bunker Grits and Pimento Grilled Cheese Sandwich, a Masters tradition. Spring Asparagus Seasonal Menu

As spring asparagus is harvested at the Irvine Ranch, Andrea offers an a la carte tasting menu featuring the seasonal green vegetable. Savor locally sourced ingredients in Northern Italian dishes, such as hand-made tagliolini with bay scallops, green asparagus and black summer truffle, or green asparagus soup with soft-poached quail egg, parmesan cheese crisp, taggiasca olive dust and peperoncino oil.
