THE RESORT AT PELICAN HILL APPOINTS AMANDA REEVE AS DIRECTOR OF MEETINGS & SPECIAL EVENTS

NEWPORT BEACH, CA – March 11, 2013 – The Resort at Pelican Hill® today announced the appointment of Amanda Reeve, CMP to the role of director of meetings and special events. Bringing more than 16 years of event planning expertise and luxury hospitality experience to Newport Beach’s first and only Five-Star resort, Reeve will oversee the continued growth of Pelican Hill’s comprehensive off-premise catering program, as well as weddings, meetings and special events.

“Based on her passion for delivering creative, personalized guest experiences, we knew Amanda was the perfect leader to heighten special events and meetings experiences for our discerning guests from around the globe and in our own backyard,” said Pelican Hill Managing Director Giuseppe Lama. “Amanda will lead the Resort’s catering, conference and destination wedding professionals in creating world-class experiences for Resort guests and locals at Pelican Hill and at off-premise venues.”

With a masterful flair for bringing the latest meeting and event trends to life, Reeve has seamlessly implemented cultural menus, such as kosher cuisine, and incorporated family heirloom recipes into contemporary celebrations for group programs and event clientele seeking highly customized experiences. Reeve brings a collaborative and detail-oriented approach to meeting and event planning for Pelican Hill’s diverse clientele.

Prior to joining Pelican Hill, Reeve served on the opening team at the Four Seasons in Denver, Colorado as director of catering and conference services. During her 10 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, she managed catering and conference services for properties in Carlsbad, California and Palm Beach, Florida. Before that, she held leadership roles at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida.

Originally from Cornwall, England, Reeve earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Tourism Management from the University of Brighton, England. She resides in Anaheim Hills, California with her husband.
