Our Story

Italian inspiration, California splendor.

Our Villas are set in an exclusive, gated enclave and are a more intimate way to enjoy The Resort with a private clubhouse and pool. Ranging from 2,193 to 3,581 square feet, The Villas offer two, three or four bedrooms and expansive ocean-view terraces.

The Resort at Pelican Hill

Architecture

The architectural style of the Resort is inspired by the works of Andrea Palladio, an Italian architect from the 16th century. The beauty and harmony you feel is the result of thousands of small details – from the Italian plaster finish that enhances with age to the hand-made terra cotta finials sculpted by a master ceramicist.

Landscape

The overall vision was to create a Northern Italian environment. Groves of olive trees, rows of lavender, cypress, fig and pine trees plus 45 foot Canary palms grace the Resort, evoking a timeless, authentic landscape. A natural setting that relaxes and invites strolling throughout the grounds.

Coliseum Pool

Details

Each detail of the Resort’s timeless, classic appearance has been created with the utmost care and attention to detail. From placing 1.1 million hand-cut glass mosaic tiles that line the bottom of Coliseum Pool to planting 100-year-old olive trees to add authenticity to the Mediterranean landscape, each piece of the Resort is thoughtfully crafted to create a timeless, classic look inspired by the Italian Renaissance.
