Youth Activities

Whether you seek a space for activities for younger children at Camp Pelican or for kids just a bit older at Latitude, there are plenty of engaging adventures to explore both at Pelican Hill and nearby.



Welcome to Camp Pelican™, where children enjoy a resort vacation of their own. An ocean-view retreat filled with activities that entertain and nurture their creativity. With something new and different on the schedule every day, kids are constantly engaged and having fun in their own space within the Resort.



Camp Pelican

The Clubhouse
An inviting home away from home designed for children ages 4-12, the Camp Pelican Clubhouse features:

  • Two big-screen HDTVs with popular video games, karaoke, iPod accessories, digital microscopes and complete computer stations
  • A multitude of arts and crafts supplies, board games, books and magazines
  • Children’s Pool with umbrellas, chaise lounges, bubble jet fountain and sand play areas
  • Shaded, heated patio with tables and chairs, foosball and ping pong

Each day of the week brings a distinct theme, such as “Space Exploration,” “Under the Sea” and “Murdock’s Carnival” to Camp Pelican. On select dates, Camp Pelican features special guests and seasonal activities, including the Mindful Octopus.

Full-day, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and half-day programs, from either 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. or 12 p.m. – 4 p.m., are available daily for children ages 4-12. Each program includes lunch and snacks.

Available on select weekends and holidays from 5 – 9 p.m., the “Kid’s Night Out” program treats children to dinner, a movie and popcorn from Camp Pelican’s own classic popcorn machine.

For young adults ages 13-17 staying at the Resort, Latitude is a seasonal scene exclusively for teens . From entertainment lounges in a private Villa to daily excursions, Latitude invites teens to enjoy a vacation of their own.

Surf Camp
Surf camp in Laguna Beach; wetsuits and boards are provided.

Kayak Camp
Retreat to the calm and protected reefs and tidepools in North Laguna Beach for kayaking.

Beach “Cruisin” Bike Tour
Take in the sights of the Newport Beach Peninsula and Huntington Beach on this scenic bike tour.

Tour of Newport Harbor
Experience the Newport Harbor by paddling through the Back Bay on a canoe or kayak.

Hiking Tour of El Morro and Crystal Cove
Spend the day taking in our coastal wilderness with an interpretive nature hike in El Morro Canyon.
