THE MENU

The combined effect of culinary and vocal artistry creates an afternoon of magical moments and a delightful new holiday tradition.

The menu features an assortment of open-faced and tea sandwiches, bites of jumbo lump crab and wagyu beef, and an array of inspired sweets including scones, macarons, madeleines, and tarts. Enjoy paired with a presentation of traditional and royal teas and prestige Telmont champagne.

Songs of the Season

In between courses, guests will be serenaded by two of the brightest talents in American opera as they perform classic songs of the season. David Blalock, tenor on the roster of The Metropolitan Opera, Kayleigh Decker, mezzo soprano on the roster of The Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Cheryl Lin Fielding, pianist with The Parnassus Society, elevate the experience with world-class talent.

DAVID BLALOCK  | From the roster of the Metropolitan Opera

Tenor David Blalock, equally at home on the opera and concert stage, has performed over 40 roles since debuting with the Santa Fe Opera in 2013 as Bertram in La Donna del Lago. During the 2022-23 season, Mr. Blalock returns to the Metropolitan Opera to sing Gastone in La Traviata, among other engagements. He has performed leading roles and concerts with Atlanta Opera, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Virginia Opera, Fort Worth Opera, Opera Hong Kong, San Francisco Symphony, Shanghai Symphony, Pacific Symphony, and The Minnesota Orchestra, among others. davidblalocktenor.com

KAYLEIGH DECKER  | From the roster of the Lyric Opera of Chicago

Praised for her “dulcet-toned mezzo-soprano” by the Wall Street Journal, Kayleigh was a member of the prestigious The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center at Lyric Opera of Chicago, and has since frequented its main stage. A passionate song interpreter, she was named one of Caramoor’s 2018 Schwab Vocal Rising Stars and was a participant in the inaugural season of Renée Fleming’s Song Studio at Carnegie Hall. She has given recitals produced by the Cincinnati Song Initiative, as well as solo recitals at Carnegie Hall and the Chicago Cultural Center. kayleighdecker.com

CHERYL LIN FIELDING | Pianist, The Parnassus Society

A sought-after recital partner and vocal coach, Fielding has been honored with the Grace B. Jackson Prize in Excellence by the Tanglewood Music Festival, recognized by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, and received the distinguished Gwendolyn Koldofsky Award in Keyboard Collaborative Arts. Cheryl’s musical training includes three degrees from the Juilliard School in Piano Performance and Collaborative Piano, as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Keyboard Collaborative Arts from the University of Southern California with extended emphasis on vocal performance. cheryllinfielding.com
