NEWPORT BEACH, CA – April 4, 2013 – The Resort at Pelican Hill®, along the coast of Newport Beach in sunny Southern California, today announced the opening of a newly constructed Golf Pavilion, located at Pelican Hill Golf Club®. Spanning more than 7,000 square feet and accommodating up to 500 guests, the Golf Pavilion is the Five-Star, Five-Diamond Resort’s largest event space and first major venue expansion since the Golf Club re-opened in November 2007 and the Resort debuted in November 2008.

“The Golf Pavilion features an outdoor terrace space, designed to accommodate a broad array of customizable event formats, including golf outings, group events and social gatherings,” said Pelican Hill Director of Meetings & Special Events Amanda Reeve. “This space allows golfers to seamlessly proceed from tournament play on Pelican Hill’s two Tom Fazio-designed ocean-view courses to open-air barbeques or al fresco receptions. For formal affairs, the outdoor terrace can be completely enclosed with a large canopy tent.”

Designed for Southern California’s year-round mild climate, the Golf Pavilion’s spacious, flexible indoor and outdoor design accommodates up to 500 guests for reception-style events or up to 300 guests for seated dining, and offers complimentary valet or self parking at Pelican Hill Golf Club. A venue of choice for the most exclusive and discerning group functions, the Resort’s existing 20,000 square feet of casually elegant function space includes ballrooms, board rooms and meeting rooms, as well as Mar Vista, a private event estate with its own arrival area and an ocean-view event lawn featuring an iconic Renaissance rotunda.
