THIS MONTH’S FEATURED RECIPE
Infuse a fresh twist into your personal menu with featured recipes created by our chefs especially for you and your guests. This month’s recipe is Croque Monsieur from Executive Chef Jean-Pierre Dubray.
½ cup mayonnaise
1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper, to taste
8 slices sourdough bread
4 ounces Italian ham, sliced into four even sections
1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
8 slices Swiss cheese
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and salt and pepper, and mix until blended. Set aside.
Turn on broiler and place bread slices on a baking sheet. On four slices, spread dijonnaise mixture evenly and top with even layers of Italian ham, parmesan cheese and Swiss cheese. Place baking sheet under broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese starts to turn brown and bubbly. Reassemble halves into 4 sandwiches and serve hot.
