    Jean Pierre Dubray, the Executive Chef of Pelican Hill and is among the most accomplished and recognized chefs in California.

    He is responsible for Pelican Hill’s culinary offerings, comprising three restaurants, two cafes, the Resort’s pastry and bakery operations; In-Room Dining to 128 Villas and 204 Bungalows, catering and special event services.

    Chef Dubray grew up in the kitchen of his family’s country house in France’s Loire Valley, where they produced much of their own food. He enjoyed helping his mother prepare big family meals and by the time he was 15, he had enrolled in culinary school, and decided it would be his life’s work.

    He came to the United States in 1980 when he had an opportunity to be part of the opening team for La Vie en Rose, a restaurant in Brea, Calif., and he has been in the Golden State ever since.

Crystal Cove Picnic Baskets
For lunch, dinner or anything in between, pre-order your own gourmet beach picnic from the Caffé and experience a quintessential seaside tradition along the Pacific Coast. Create a custom picnic of your own, choosing from grab-and-go items such as artisan panini, fresh wraps, Irvine Ranch salads, seasonal fruit, pasta salads, savory Kettle chips, and bakery sweets.

Afternoon Tea in the Great Room
Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Capture the essence of a traditional tea with light selections both savory and sweet. Gather by our grand fireplace or in an ocean-view alcove in the casually elegant living room of the Resort.  Reservations requested 24 hours in advance.

Pelican Grill Tasting Table
The Pelican Grill’s new Tasting Table invites epicureans to be seated right next to the restaurant’s open-concept kitchen in the main dining room. This interactive, chef-led dining experience presents guests with exclusive daily dishes featuring the freshest seasonal ingredients and creative presentations. Pelican Grill chefs prepare the day’s selection of prix fixe specialties before guest’s eyes, then pass each course over the kitchen counter to the adjacent rustic, wooden table set for up to 10 guests. As they converse with the chef across the pass counter, diners savor Napa-inspired cuisine paired with fine California wines.

Coliseum Kids, Team Moms & Coach Dads
With endless pizza, pasta and gelato for just $14* per child, Coliseum Pool & Grill invites families to stop in for lunch or dinner any day of the week. On busy school nights and during sports season, we give team moms and coach dads a chance to enjoy some quality time with the kids in a spectacular ocean-view setting. Chef Micah offers a variety of wholesome, tasty choices that keep the entire family happy and healthy.

Voted Southern California’s Best Sports Bar & Grill by Los Angeles Times readers, Pelican Grill brings you the World Cup Games, MLB season and all the summer sports action on two nine-foot screens in the Pelican Grill Lounge. Andrea, locally and nationally celebrated as one of the finest Italian restaurants, invites you to stop by Wednesdays through Sundays for a quick lunch. For just $45 per person, enjoy our two-course menu espresso (express menu) served in 45 minutes or less.

Designed for sharing at Pelican Grill’s exclusive Tasting Table, the three-course Duet Menu enhances the romance of date night along the coast of Newport Beach. Cherish an unforgettable evening of intriguing dining with up to three other couples, as the chef presents Napa-inspired cuisine, paired with sunset cocktails and California wines.
