    He is responsible for Pelican Hill’s culinary offerings, comprising three restaurants, two cafes, the Resort’s pastry and bakery operations; In-Room Dining to 128 Villas and 204 Bungalows, catering and special event services.

    Chef Dubray grew up in the kitchen of his family’s country house in France’s Loire Valley, where they produced much of their own food. He enjoyed helping his mother prepare big family meals and by the time he was 15, he had enrolled in culinary school, and decided it would be his life’s work.

    He came to the United States in 1980 when he had an opportunity to be part of the opening team for La Vie en Rose, a restaurant in Brea, Calif., and he has been in the Golden State ever since.

Painting & Prosecco
Channel your inner artist at Pelican Hill’s first “Painting & Prosecco” party on the outdoor Event Lawn! Andrea celebrates an exquisite delicacy from Alba, Italy, with seasonal á la carte dishes. Heralded as “the diamond of the kitchen,” white truffles still maintain haute cuisine status in the culinary world. Á la carte servings available at market price, based upon availability.

Learn how to make traditional Italian egg-based pasta dough in the Andrea Ristorante pasta kitchen. Join our in-house pastaia for one hour of hands-on instruction and a delicious two-course lunch…made by you!

Andrea Menu Espresso
Andrea, locally and nationally celebrated as one of the finest Italian restaurants, invites you to stop by Wednesdays through Sundays for a quick lunch. For just $28* per person, enjoy our two-course menu espresso (express menu) served in 45 minutes or less.

Social Hour + Live Music
Join us Fridays and Saturdays from 5–7 p.m. for a live guitarist, handcrafted cocktails and a selection of $5 wines by the glass.

Princess Tea & Story Time
The Resort at Pelican Hill presents a magical afternoon tea time in the Great Room Social Lounge with special princess appearances and readings of classic children’s story books by the fireside.
Available Sundays, October 15 and November 12 from 2–4 p.m. for $55* per adult and $ 45* per child under age 12. Parent supervision is required for all children in attendance.

Tea Moderno
The Great Room Social Lounge puts a modern twist on the time-honored tradition of gathering for Afternoon Tea. Sip contemporary blends featuring classic selections and emerging tea markets, while noshing savory and sweet Italian-inspired small bites. Tea-based cocktails and sparkling wines available à la carte.
Available Fridays through Sundays from 2–4 p.m. for $55* per adult and $35* per child ages 4–16.

Burgers, Pizzas & Brews
On Mondays through Thursdays in the Pelican Grill Bar, savor a $15 burger or pizza of your choice paired with a local craft beer.

Pelican Grill Express Lunch
Savor the best of Pelican Grill’s quintessential coastal California cuisine for lunch Mondays through Thursdays with a two-course menu served in 45 minutes or less. Choose from a seasonal selection to start, followed by a Napa-inspired main course.

Sunday Football Fun in the Sun Cabanas
Make the most of Newport’s beautiful autumn days with al fresco football viewing in a private luxury cabana overlooking Coliseum Pool for 4–10 guests. While cheering your favorite NFL teams to victory, enjoy a bucket of domestic beers, guacamole and tortilla chips, prime beef sliders, chicken wings, parmesan garlic fries and pizza.

Family Pumpkin Harvest
With the guidance of Pelican Hill chefs, select the perfect pumpkins for decorating and dining. For children ages 5–12, Camp Pelican hosts an afternoon of fun and learning with supervised pumpkin decorating, crafts, lunch and harvest-themed games.
Sunday, October 29 from noon – 4 p.m. for $75* per child ages 5-12; reservations required; maximum 20 children.

Apple Harvest Specials
When apples are picked at just the right time, they’re flavorful, juicy and crisp as an autumn breeze. So for our Apple Harvest Specials at Coliseum Pool & Grill, we use fresh apples plucked at their peak from Southern California’s Julian orchards. Taste the difference in our á la carte menu specials, house-made warm apple cider, seasonal gelato and, of course, delectable apple pie.
