Resort Information & Policies

The following areas are open:

  • Pelican Grill is open daily.
  • Coliseum Grill is open daily.
  • The Great Room Lobby Lounge & Terrace is open Wednesday – Sunday.
  • Caffe & Market and Caffe II are open daily.
  • In-Room Dining is available to our Resort guests.
  • Coliseum Pool and Villa Pool are available for Resort guests only including the hot tubs.
  • Fitness Centers are open daily.
  • The Spa is open daily and available to our Resort guests only.
  • Pelican Hill® Golf Club & Golf Shop are open daily.
  • Newsstand & Gift Shop, Allegra and Spa Boutique are open daily.

As we welcome you back, we understand the uncertainty brought on by current events and the hesitation you may have when booking a new reservation or when deciding whether to keep an existing reservation. To provide peace of mind, please note the following, applicable to all leisure travel reservations:

  • 5 Day Cancellation Policy: Valid for all current and new reservations made directly with the resort can be canceled without penalty up to 5 days in advance.

For reservations made via online travel agents or other third party travel professionals, please contact your booking provider for information on their policies.

  • Check-in is 4 p.m. on the day of your arrival. On the day of your departure, check-out is at 11 a.m.
  • A daily Resort Fee of $85 plus tax will be applied to Bungalow reservations and $105 plus tax will be applied to Villa reservations.
  • Credit cards are authorized for the full amount of room, tax & Resort Fee 5 days prior to your arrival as a deposit for your stay. Incidentals are an additional $250 per night authorization.
  • Should you need to cancel your reservation within the cancellation timeframe, you will forfeit the deposit amount.
  • Pelican Hill® is a non-smoking resort.
  • An in-room safe is provided within each accommodation. Pelican Hill® is not responsible for the valuables left unattended in your Bungalow or Villa.

  • Infused water, sunscreen and daily delighters at Coliseum Pool
  • Daily Fresh Air Fitness classes
  • Board games available to check-out from the concierge of the Main Estate

Our Villa $105 daily Resort Fee includes the following:

  • Overnight parking for two cars per Villa (additional cars are $25 each per night)
  • High-speed internet access
  • Priority golf tee times, based on availability
  • Driving range use after noon
  • Domestic local and long distance phone calls
  • In-room coffee, tea and still & sparkling water
  • Use of spa facilities (based on availability) and fitness centers (at Spa and Villas)
  • Crystal Cove Beach drop-off and pick-up service via resort coach upon request (towels and beach bag with sand toys available upon request)
  • Beach umbrellas and chairs at Crystal Cove Beach
  • Welcome beverage at check-in
  • Coffee available in the Villa Clubhouse from 8 a.m.- 11 a.m.
  • Snacks, infused water, iced tea from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Laundry supplies in villa
  • Nightly turndown service upon request
  • Infused water, sunscreen and daily delighters at Coliseum Pool and Villa Pool
  • Daily Fresh Air Fitness classes
  • Board games available to check-out from the Villa Clubhouse
Resort Pet Policy

For our guests who choose to visit with their pets, kindly observe the following guidelines:

  • We welcome well-mannered, house-trained, disease-free dogs. Other pets, including but not limited to cats, birds and reptiles, may not stay or visit the resort. 
  • Each Bungalow or Villa is limited to (1) dog up to 50 pounds, or (2) dogs up to a combined 75 pounds.
  • A non-refundable fee of $295 per Bungalow stay or $395 per Villa stay will be applied to your account upon arrival to cover the costs of deep-cleaning the room following your visit. 
  • Pets must be leashed and under their owner’s control at all times in outdoor public areas on property.
  • Pets are not permitted in pool areas, at golf practice facilities, on golf courses or indoor public areas at any time.
  • For health and safety purposes, pets may not sit at or on top of tables while visiting the outdoor areas of Resort restaurants.
  • Pet owners are responsible for promptly picking up after their pets and bringing the appropriate materials to do so.
  • Should any pet display dangerous, aggressive or unacceptable behavior (including but not limited to biting, excessive barking and/or evidence of disease), Pelican Hill® reserves the right for their immediate removal.
  • In advance of arrival, guests must disclose their intent to occupy a Villa or Bungalow with a pet.
  • Upon booking, a Pet Agreement must be signed and a non-refundable fee will be assessed to cover the costs of deep-cleaning following a pet’s visit.
  • Please reference the Pet Agreement for complete policies relating to housekeeping services, noise complaints, damages to accommodations and more.
  • While Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not considered service animals under the ADA and remain subject to the pet agreement and non-refundable fee.
Restaurant Pet Policy

Pets are allowed at Coliseum Pool & Grill upper patio and Villa Clubhouse terrace. Pets are not permitted at Coliseum Pool Deck, Cabanas, Adult Pool, Pelican Grill and Andrea. Service animals are welcome in all outlets.

Per California Health and Safety Code:

  • Pets must be on a leash no longer than 8 feet and under their owner’s control at all times.
  • Pets are not allowed on any seat, chair, table or guest lap.
  • Pets may not be provided food, but water is available upon request.
  • Should any pet display dangerous, aggressive or unacceptable behavior (including but not limited to) biting, excessive barking, evidence of disease, urination or defecation in public areas, The Resort at Pelican Hill® reserves the right for their immediate removal.

The Resort at Pelican Hill® Rules & Regulations

The Resort at Pelican Hill® is private property. A person’s entry and presence on the property are at the sole and absolute discretion of the Owner. The following rules and regulations apply:

We reserve the right to deny admission, prevent entry, or require a person already present to leave the Resort or any part thereof, without refund, liability or compensation, for failure to comply with any of these rules for unsafe, illegal, or offensive behavior, to ensure safety, security, or order, or if we consider that the circumstances otherwise so require, in our sole and absolute discretion. 

  • We endeavor to create and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests and Resort associates. Any behavior, language, or actions deemed unsafe, abusive, disruptive, offensive, or inappropriate, will not be tolerated. 
  • Firearms, ammunition, weapons of any kind, objects or toys that appear to be weapons, fireworks or other similarly explosive objects, are prohibited. 
  • Photography, videotaping, or recording of any kind, for unapproved commercial purposes.
  • The use of drones for any reason. 
  • Unauthorized group activities, events, speeches, including the use of banners, signs, flags, or other material for commercial or political purposes, or as part of a demonstration or protest.
  • Unauthorized solicitations of any kind, whether commercial, religious, educational, or otherwise, or conducting any commercial activities, including solicitations for money or other contributions or donations. 
  • The sale of goods or services, or the display or advertisement of goods or services, unless authorized by the Resort. 
  • The use of recreational devices such as remote-control toys, skateboards, scooters, e-bikes, etc., if deemed unsafe or disruptive by the Resort in its sole discretion. 
  • Driving at an unsafe speed or failing to abide by all traffic signs and traffic laws.
  • Loud music, amplified noise devices or any other actions that unreasonably interfere with the ability of others to enjoy the Resort. 
  • Open flames, candles, barbecues, grills, or any other items that can present a fire hazard anywhere on Resort property. 
  • Children should be supervised at all times by an adult. Children under the age of 16 cannot be left unattended in the room, at the pool, spa,  or in the fitness facilities. 
  • All guests are required to provide proof of current registration at the Resort if so requested by Resort Staff. 
  • The Resort reserves the right to enter any room, at any time, for the purposes of safety, security, maintenance, or any other reason, even if the Room Occupied sign is displayed on the guestroom door. 
  • The Resort’s common areas are intended for the short-term and incidental use by Resort guests and guests of the food & beverage areas. 
  • Individuals making use of common areas who have no business purpose at or with the Resort or are not registered guests of the Resort are considered loitering.  Such individuals will be asked to leave the property. 
  • Smoking of tobacco products and/or electronic cigarettes (i.e. vaping) is only permitted in designated outdoor smoking areas and is not allowed within 20 feet of building entrances and windows. Smoking is not allowed inside guest accommodations or on guestroom patios. 
  • Resort at Pelican Hill® prohibits the cultivation, distribution, or consumption of marijuana on any part of the premises. 
  • Oversized vehicles such as trucks, RV’s, motorhomes, toy haulers, caravans, and trailers cannot be parked on Resort property.
